My dear friend Christina asked me to be one of her bridesmaids, but also wanted me to shoot certain moments on her special day.

The moments we agreed on were getting ready and the morning with the girls, as well as some tender snaps with her mama. It was so much fun, and I am so thankful for the sweet opportunity to capture these moments.

Getting ready

The AirBnB was an adorable apartment downtown Kadikoy, in Istanbul. It was decorated with some vintage bookshelves, an aesthetic bicycle, and lovely well-kept plants. It was the perfect atmosphere for these simple shots of the bridesmaids and the bride getting ready for the big day.

Putting on the dress

I was there when Christina picked out this dress. Through many complications and twists and turns, she emerged triumphant and the dress was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for her in every way. The lace detail was exquisite. Turkey is in fact a fantastic place to get a wedding dress.

Sweet moments with mama

The likeness of mother and daughter captured in these two moments is uncanny. There were so many photos to choose from, but even with the darker lighting in the first, the sweet expressions and love enveloped in their faces is what does it for me.

On the way to the first look

The bride, ready to embark on the real adventure of the day (GETTING MARRIED), hits the streets and gets in her carriage (a taxi) to see her future husband.

The rest of the day was not captured by me, but believe me, it was incredible.
