“We don’t freeze time when we photograph, but we do capture a frozen image that can transport the viewer back to that very second. That is the brutal responsibility of a photographer— to build an album of frozen moments that are creatively framed, composed with care, and edited to transport the viewer not only to the reality of what it looked like but also to what the moment felt like.
